An illustrated guide to British Birds By Lily Jane

After a walk around Attenborough nature centre and reserve, I was inspired to create my own Guide to British Birds. I used a dip pen and Indian ink along with watercolour paint, combined with Photoshop to create this guide.

Pumpkin inspired pattern design

Pumpkin inspired illustration pattern design, inspired by the coming of Halloween and Autumn. This pattern would look great as wrapping paper, pens and other various stationery and would also sell well at garden centres. The process for this piece was that it was hand painted in watercolour and drawn in dip pen along with Indian ink, then scanned and edited/repeated in Adobe Photoshop.

Autumn inspired illustration surface pattern design.

This piece was inspired by the coming of Autumn, a favourite time of year of mine. The methods in creating this piece was to hand draw oak tree leafs, acorns and pumpkins in Fine Liner pens then scan into photoshop and colour the image digitally. It could be used as wrapping paper, notebooks and various other stationery.

Tribes Tattoo design illustration

I created this design earlier this year in May before I graduated from university, it is still one of my favourite pieces from my Finale year so I thought it would be nice to share with you guys. A little background behind this tattoo style illustration is that it was inspired by tribes along with their relationships with nature and skeletal remains. It was created by being hand drawn first using my Faber-Castell Fine liner pens then being edited in Adobe Photoshop.
